Annual Report

2006 was a year of outstanding success for TAFE NSW -North Coast Institute. Our staff and students continued to achieve significant milestones in educational delivery and practical application in the workforce.

Many students were recognised at our Institute’s awards ceremony, as well as receiving NSW State Medals and other state and national awards. Our staff members, too, were honoured for their dedication and commitment to educational excellence, with many being invited to present research and practice to their peers at various national and international conference events.

One of the features of 2006 was our continued drive to expand delivery into workplaces. This approach ensures that training is more convenient to the individuals and relevant to the enterprises in which they work, while at the same time enabling our teaching staff to remain abreast of current industry practice.

The successes, case studies and statistics that make up this report for 2006 indicate that the Institute is on track to achieve our strategic vision of being the “leader in learning for individual, enterprise and community success”.
