Primary Industries and Natural Resources Faculty

The Primary Industries and Natural Resources Faculty specialises in meeting the vocational education and training needs of industry and the community across the areas of Agriculture, Aquaculture, Horticulture, Environmental Practice, Bushland Regeneration, Organic Farming, Natural Resource Management and Equine.

Many of our courses cater for apprentices and trainees in the primary industries area. Programs can be tailored to meet the individual needs of the student to ensure they receive skills which are appropriate to their work situation.

Our courses are designed to provide students with the skills needed to be highly employable or to go on to further study at TAFE or university. The Primary Industries and Natural Resources Faculty within the North Coast Institute has developed strong industry relationships and is constantly monitoring the trade and post-trade needs of students.

The Primary Industries and Natural Resources Faculty offers a number of Aquaculture and fishing industry courses by distance learning through it’s specialist centre Natfish which is located at Trenayr Campus.

Trenayr and Taree Campuses also offer Equine courses by distance or online learning, with practical components completed at the state-of-art facilities at each campus.
