The TAFE NSW website caters for intending (and current) local and international students, with student information, course information and locations of TAFE colleges.

TAFEPLUS, the commercial arm of TAFE, provides short courses and various other services.

Learning Gateway has course & career information and many links to industry and learning resource websites.

TAFE Delivered Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses offer year 11 and 12 students the opportunity to study for TAFE NSW qualifications as part of their regular Higher School Certificate study program. These courses are a great way to build your career in a range of industries.


On-line information is available on credit transfer from HSC to TAFE.

This website is a useful reference for school students, parents, teachers, careers advisers and other interested persons.

On the TAFE NSW / Universities Credit Transfer & Articulation website you will find details on credit transfer and articulation arrangements for qualifications gained at either TAFE NSW or universities.  These details will help you find out about learning pathways from TAFE NSW to universities, and from universities to TAFE NSW.

Universities
The goingtouni website has essential information about going to university for current and prospective students including information about fees, loans,scholarships and other resources for students including support. It also has a great Course Finder thay you can use to search for courses in all Australian universities and compare them by a variety of criteria, including by specific provider, approximate course fees and entry cut-offs.

The Universities Admissions Centre provides information about undergraduate courses offered by the participating universities in NSW, how to apply, study costs and key dates.

Universities Australia has summary information and links to member universities and Central Admission Centres throughout Australia, publications & other resources, and credit transfer from TAFE to university.

Open Learning Australia provides opportunities for home study, including vocational training and university studies.

Other Higher Education
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations website has information on education and training as well as good links to various other DEEWR websites.

EdNa is a national network of education institutions in Australia. EdNa houses a powerful database that lists educational institutions by State with information and links to schools, higher education institutions, TAFE/VET providers and adult community providers.

The Australian Government Directory has a section on education, which covers Schools, Universities, TAFE, Higher Education, English Language Centres (ELICOS), Training & Development, and Distance Education.

The Australian Defence Force Academy provides tertiary education for the Australian Defence Forces. Located in Canberra, it also has a college at the University of NSW.

Assessment & Overseas Qualifications
AEI - NOOSR - the Australian Education International's National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition - offers information about assessment of overseas qualifications and an outline of occupational requirements in Australia.

English Classes
AMES (NSW Adult Migrant English Service) provides English language and literacy courses. Similar courses may be offered at TAFE and at private English language colleges. English classes may also be held at community colleges, churches, and welfare organisations - try the local library or council for leaflets or information.
