This course provides you with a practical introduction to the visual arts. You gain training across a range of visual arts areas to provide the basis for further studies or progression into higher award courses. You learn about creating images, objects and forms under the direction of artist teachers. You study a minimum of three visual arts areas: fine arts, ceramics, computer graphics, and design and craft with glass, paper and textiles. Before you can enrol in this course you must contact the campus or campuses of your choice for details of information sessions and other procedures that may apply. Compulsory attendance at an information session may apply.
Career Opportunities: Provides initial training for a career as an artist.
Articulation: When you finish this course you may be eligible to do a CUV20103 Certificate II in Visual Arts and Contemporary Craft.
