This course teaches you the skills needed to safely work in the textile fabrication industry. The course allows you to combine on-the-job with off-the-job training.
You will learn about different areas of the textile fabrication industry, such as production operations, machine maintenance, warehousing and distribution, frontline management and workplace training and assessment.
The course is made up of core and elective modules. You must complete at least ten elective modules to receive the qualification. You will need access to plant and equipment to complete some of the modules in this course.
Articulation: When you finish this course you may be eligible to do Certificate III in Textile Fabrication (LMT30400), TAFE course no: 7666.
Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for entry to this course. Entry may be direct or following successful completion of LMT10300 Certificate I in Textile Fabrication, TAFE course no:
7664. Certain modules require access to industry specific plant and equipment. Trainees must be registered as Trainees under the National Apprenticeship System (NAS) or equivalent traineeship system.
