This course teaches you the skills needed to safely work in the dry cleaning industry. The course allows you to combine on-the-job with off-the-job training.

You will learn about different areas of dry cleaning operations such as production operations or machine maintenance, warehousing and distribution and workplace training.

The course is made up of core and elective modules. You must complete at least four elective modules to receive the qualification. You will need access to plant and equipment to complete some of the modules in this course.

Career Opportunities: Dry cleaning operator.

Articulation: When you finish this course you may be eligible to do Certificate III in Dry Cleaning Operations (LMT31200), TAFE course no: 7690.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for entry to this course. Direct entry or Certificate I in Dry Cleaning Operations (LMT11000), TAFE course no: 7688 or equivalent competencies. Certain modules require access to industry specific plant and equipment. Trainees must be registered as Trainees under the National Apprenticeship System (NAS) or equivalent traineeship system.
