Aptitude Test
Applicants must undertake an aptitude test. The aptitude test is in two parts, the first must be submitted with the Application Form. Applicants who pass the first part of the aptitude test will be required to sit for the second part at the campus and may also be required to submit a portfolio of their work to substantiate their ability.
Portfolio
In the case of the portfolio, the number of samples submitted should be a minimum of four (4) and a maximum of ten (10) pieces, of which at least two pieces should be undertaken in a black and white medium. The samples submitted must demonstrate knowledge, skills and ability relevant to design. Work submitted in a portfolio must have been completed within the previous two years, and should demonstrate a variety of skills and creative ability.
A panel of at least three teachers assess the applicant's test and portfolio.
All work submitted for the aptitude test and portfolio must be the applicant's own and must be original - that is, the work should not contain the work of others. If the work is too large to submit or is an installation piece a copy may be submitted as long as the work is authenticated.
