This course is for people (including possible trainees) wanting to acquire the skills and knowledge to work in the soft furnishing sector of the furnishing industry.

You will learn how to select fabric; use hand and power tools; set up; operate and maintain sewing machines and steam presses; construct a range of bed linen and table cloths; and construct and install curtains. You will also learn about occupational health and safety, communications, calculations and working with others.

Career Opportunities: Soft furnishing tradesperson.
