This course is for people who are required by their workplace to develop skills in the delivery of training and assessment programs.

It is also for people who want to develop skills for their future development and who may wish to deliver and assess for an RTO.

It is preferable that you have access to on-the-job opportunities so you can practise what you learn.

You need to complete 14 units - 12 core and 2 electives to gain the Certificate IV qualification.

Career Opportunities: Training officer positions, trainers and assessors in an RTO.

Articulation: Completion of the core units of this qualification gives entry into the TAA50104 Diploma of Training and Assessment. Learners may also gain advanced standing in the Diploma for an elective module.

Entry Requirements: NSW Higher School Certificate or equivalent. Access to a workplace or simulated workplace activities is needed to do this course.

Option 1: Flexible delivery Training. RPL available for some modules.
Option 2: Flexible delivery with RPL for ALL modules where participants have required skills and knowledge.

Port Macquarie - This course is offered on a commercial fee-for-service basis. There are two options - Option 1 for students who have not completed the Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training (BSZ40198) and Option 2 for students looking to upgrade their Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training (BSZ40198) Qualification.
Option1: This course is completed over 4 stages, with each stage a separate cost. Please note that in addition to class attendance, students need to allow 2 - 3 hours per week for completing assessments.
Stage 1 (Contributing to Training and Assessment Statement of Attainment) is offered over 4 Fridays.
Stage 2 (Assessment in VET Statement of Attainment) is offered over 3 days.
Stage 3 (Delivery and Facilitation in the VET Environment Statement of Attainment) is offered over 5 days.
Stage 4 (VET Learning Design Statement of Attainment) is offered over 4 days.
