This course is for people who want to develop practical human resource skills as either line managers, administrators or human resource officers. The Certificate IV level is recognised by industry as the entry level for employment as a human resource officer or for undertaking part of the human resource function.
The course aims to provide the skills and knowledge required to work in human resources as an officer or practise skills in the function.
The course provides for training and the development of competencies in the following areas:
- human resource research;
- human resource policy interpretation;
- human resource ethical requirements;
- recruiting, selecting and inducting staff;
- administering employee performance processes;
- assist in dealing with workplace conflict;
- processing job vacancies;
- establishing business networks;
- analyse and present research information;
- monitor a safe workplace;
- implement industrial relations policies and procedures;
- develop teams and individuals.
When you complete this course you will be able to undertake human resource functions in the workplace.

Entry Requirements: Preferred pathways into this qualification are: After achieving the BSB30107 Certificate III in Business or other relevant qualification/s Providing evidence of competency in the majority of units required for the BSB30107 Certificate III in Business or other relevant qualification/s Some vocational experience in assisting human resources team leaders, supervisors or managers in their work but without formal human resource qualifications.
