This course is for people who want to pursue a career in project management. You will learn how to work either as a project team member or as a project officer. This course will help you to develop the practical skills and knowledge required to contribute to the design, implementation, management and closure of projects. You will examine phases of the project life cycle and gain both theoretical and practical knowledge. You will undertake simulated practical activities based on real life exercises and work place practice to develop a high level of relevance and validity. More specifically, you will be able to apply scope management techniques; time management techniques; cost management techniques; quality management techniques; human resources management approaches; communications management techniques; risk management techniques, and contracting and procurement techniques. When you have finished this course you will be able to work satisfactorily as a member of a project team with guidance from a project manager.

Career Opportunities: Project manager.

Articulation: Diploma level qualifications in Project Management.

Entry Requirements: NSW Higher School Certificate (or equivalent).
