This course aims to provide participants with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to meet the National Business Services Competency Standards at Level 3.
The skills gained will match the core skill competencies in exercising initiative in a business environment; organising workplace information; producing business documents; maintaining financial records; delivering and monitoring a service to customers; supporting the implementation of occupational health and safety policy and procedures; producing texts from notes; producing texts from audio transcription; designing and developing business documents; creating and using databases; creating electronic presentations and organising schedules. A number of modules on the specialist medical office are included in this course. The course meets requirements for the achievement of a qualification at AQF Level 3 of the Business Services Training Package.
Career Opportunities: The course is designed to provide training for the clerical-administrative occupation. It will provide a pathway to all careers related to the clerical-administrative sector. Graduates will be able to perform a range of well developed skills, taking responsibility for their own outputs in work and learning and taking limited responsibility for the output of others.
Articulation: Up to two units of competency from Level 3 may provide articulation into BSB40201 Certificate IV in Business Administration providing they have not been included in a qualification at a lower level.
