This course is for people who want to learn about the administration of human resources, occupational health and safety, training and workplace behaviour, and conducting recruitment and selection.

Career Opportunities: Human resource officer, line manager/clerk with human resource responsibilities.

Articulation: When you finish this course you can apply for advanced standing in BSB50801 Diploma of Business (Human Resources) Diploma, TAFE course no: 9795.

Entry Requirements: Satisfactory completion of Year 12 with a minimum of 10 units in the NSW HSC Record of Achievement (or equivalent statement from another educational authority). Learners may enter at any stage in the course, depending on their relevant pre-existing skills.

Student Selection: Your application will be assessed using the following selection criteria:

1.  Demonstrated need and motivation to undertake the course and relevance of the course to career plans and/or personal goals, based on:
1.1 Relevance of the course to career plans or personal goals (15%).
1.2 Knowledge of the relevant industry and relationship of the course to potential employment (15%),
1.3 Further evidence to support the application (10%).

2.  Evidence of ability to complete the course, based on:    
2.1 Education and training (20%).    
2.2 Work experience, paid and/or unpaid (20%).   
2.3 Life and community experience (20%).

Selection Method: Your selection into this course will be based on the information provided on the TAFW NSW Application Form. It will be evaluated using the weightings as shown above.
