This course is for assistants in nursing, enrolled nurses and registered nurses who are employed in aged care or palliative care facilities.

This course is also for carers who provide care for individuals who are dying.

The course will help you develop skills in pain management, meeting the emotional, spiritual, social and physical needs of the aged, and understanding the aging process.

Cultural and ethical issues will be explored in relation to caring for the dying patient.

Career Opportunities: Nursing assistant, enrolled nurse, registered nurse.

Entry Requirements: Year 10 or equivalent.
