In this course you will learn how to service the mechanical and electrical systems of motor vehicles. It is a pathway to a traineeship in the servicing sector of the automotive industry.
Career Opportunities: Successful completion of this course would enable you to be employed as a service mechanic in the automotive industry.
Articulation: Successful completion of this course will achieve units of competency from the Automotive Industry Retail, Service and Repair Training Package AUR05. This qualification and the units will be recognised in other Certificate III courses such as the AUR30705 Certificate III in Outdoor Power Equipment TAFE NSW Course no 17391 and AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Agricultural Mechanical) TAFE NSW Course no 5790.
Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for this course. The learner must be employed as a trainee in the outdoor power equipment industry to be able to gain sufficient experience to achieve the units of competence requirements.
