In this course you will learn how to service and repair the mechanical, electrical and ancilliary systems of outdoor power equipment. It is a pathway to a traineeship in the outdoor power equipment sector of the automotive industry.

Career Opportunities: Successful completion of this course would enable you to be employed as a mechanic in the outdoor power equipment sector of the automotive industry.

Articulation: Successful completion of this course will achieve units of competence from the Automotive Industry Retail, Service and Repair Training Package AUR05. This qualification, and the units, will be recognised in other Certificate III course such as the AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicel), TAFE course no: 9003 and the AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Motorcycle), TAFE course no: 5614.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for this course. The learner must be employed as a trainee in the outdoor power equipment industry to be able to gain sufficient experience to achieve the unit of competence requirements.
