AUR30605 Certificate III in Automotive Specialist (Gas Vehicle)

This course is for people working in the gas powered vehicle section of the automotive industry and provides a pathway to completing a NSW traineeship aligned to a Vocational Training Order. More specifically in this course you will learn how to service, repair and fit LPG, CNG and LNG components and systems as fitted to motor vehicles.
Career Opportunities: Successful completion of this course, along with the relevant work experience, would enable you to be employed as a gas fitter and repairer in the automotive industry.
Articulation: Successful completion of this course will achieve units of competence from the Automotive Retail Service & Repair Training Package (AUR05). This qualification and the units will be recognised in Certificate III courses such as; AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology - Light Vehicle TAFE NSW Course no 9003, AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology - Heavy Vehicle Road Transport TAFE NSW Course no 5771, AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology - Agricultural Mechanical TAFE NSW Course no 5790.
Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for this course. The learner must be employed as a trainee, or be a licenced mechanic working in the LPG, CNG, LNG area to gain sufficient experience to achieve the units of competence requirements.
