TDM30407 Certificate III in Transport and Distribution (Coastal Maritime Operations - Master Class 5)

This course focuses on developing the practical skills and knowledge required to work as a Master Class 5.

You will learn how to take charge of a commercial vessel of less than less than 24 metres in length, operating up to 100 nautical miles from the coast (endorsable to 200 nautical miles).

Evidence of sea time/service on board a vessel will be required to obtain a certificate of competency from the NSW Maritime Authority.

Career Opportunities/Vocational Outcomes: Master Class 5. The next career step for a person with this qualification is to become a Master Class 4. An alternative pathway would be to undertake marine engine driver qualifications commencing at Marine Engine Driver Grade 3. These career options are available upon gaining further sea experience and undertaking additional courses.

Entry Requirements: Completion of Certificate I or II qualification in Maritime Operations.
