This course is designed to give the theory and some practical experience into crossing coastal bars.
The NSW Maritime Authority strongly recommends anyone who crosses a coastal bar in a fishing boat or yacht to do this course.

Applying and Enrolling
This course will be offered commercially on a fee-for-service basis. Course commencement is subject to sufficient demand and usually runs at most locations continuously throughout the year.
Enrolments can be made by one of three methods, that include Online Enrolment, over the phone enrolment or in person enrolment at one of our campuses. See the decriptions of these methods below.
Enrolment Online: You can enrol online via the TAFE NSW e-Serices website by following the Enrol Online instructions in the right hand column on this page.
Phone Enrolment: Enrolments can also be made by phoning 131601.
On Campus Enrolment: Places can also be reserved and payment made at a Campus office.
