This course is for panel beating apprentices or people that have entered into a relevant training agreement. You will learn how to weld light gauge motor vehicle body panels and underframe structures. You will also learn how to repair minor and major accident and corrosion damage, and measure, realign and repair upper body and underframe structures. You will also learn how to repair motor vehicle plastic components.

Career Opportunities: If you successfully complete this course, with relevant work experience you would be able to be employed as a vehicle body panel beater in the automotive collision repair industry.

Articulation: If you have completed AUR10105 Certificate I in Automotive, TAFE course no: 9001 or AUR20905 Certificate II in Automotive Vehicle Body (Specialising in Panel Preparation), TAFE course no: 5299 you will be eligible for articulation into this course.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for this course. The learner must be employed or have access to a workplace in the automotive collision repair industry to be able to gain sufficient experience to successfully complete the unit of competencies requirements.
