In this course you will learn how to service and repair motor vehicle drivelines and transmissions.

Articulation: Successful completion of this course will achieve units of competency from the Automotive Retail Service and Repair Training Package (AUR05). This qualification and the units will be recognised in Certficate III courses such as the AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle) TAFE NSW Course no 9003, the AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Road Transport) TAFE NSW Course no 5771, the AUR30605 Certificate III in Automotive Specialist (Transmission) TAFE NSW Course no 5542, and the AUR30605 Certificate in III in Automotive Specialist (Driveline) TAFE NSW Course 17389.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for this course. The learner must be employed as a trainee in the driveline/transmission area of the automotive industry to gain sufficient experiences to successfully achieve the units of competence requirements.

Early Exit Points: There are no Certificate I or Certificate II qualifications that form direct exit points from this course. Students who leave the course before completion will be given a testamur for the units they have completed.
