This course is for automotive steering and suspension trainees who have entered into a training agreement. You will learn how to service and repair motor vehicle steering and suspension systems.

Career Opportunities: Steering and suspension specialist technician in the automotive industry.

Articulation: Successful completion of this course will achieve units of competency from the Automotive Retail Service and Repair Training Package (AUR05). The units from this qualification will be recognised in other Certificate III courses such as the AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle) TAFE NSW Course no 9003, and the AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Technology (Heavy Vehicle Road Transport) TAFE NSW Course no 5771.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for this course. The learner must be employed as a trainee in the steering and suspension area of the automotive industry to gain sufficient experiences to successfully achieve the units of competence requirements.

Early Exit Points: Students who do not complete this course may be eligible for the award of qualification AUR21399 - CII in Automotive Mechanical (Steering and Suspension) if they have completed the units of competence required for the Certificate II course.
