This qualification is for apprentice forklift maintenace mechanics in the industrial lift truck (forklift) service industry. You will work on industrial lift truck (forklift) equipment. You will learn how the various systems operate, and will learn how to maintain, test, diagnose, and repair those systems and components.
Career Opportunities: Forklift maintenance mechanic in the industrial lift truck industry.
Articulation: You may be eligible for advanced standing in this qualification if you have successfully completed any units of competence from Certificate II or Certificate III courses that form part of this course.
Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for this qualification. The learner must be employed or have access to a workplace in the forklift service and repair industry to be able to gain sufficient experience to successfully complete the unit of competence requirements.
