In this course you will learn how to service and repair the underbody mechanical systems of motor vehicles.

Career Opportunities: Underbody mechanic in the automotive industry.

Articulation: Successful completion of this course will achieve units of competence from the Automotive Retail Service and Repair Training Package (AUR05). This qualification and the units will be recognised in other Certificate III courses such as the AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle) TAFE NSW Course no 9003, the AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Technology (Heavy Vehicle Road Transport) TAFE NSW Course no 5771, and the AUR30605 Certificate III in Automotive Specialist (Brakes) TAFE NSW Course no 5763.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for this course. The learner must be employed as a trainee in the relevant trade area.

Early Exit Points: There are no Certificate I or Certificate II qualifications that form direct exit points from this course. Students who leave the course before completion will be given a testamur for the units they have completed.
