This course provides CPD training options to Home Building Service Licensees. Learners will develop new skills or develop and improve existing skills relating to their licence category.
Target Group: Licensed Builders, Licensed Swimming Pool Builders or any qualified supervisors for Builders, Swimming Pool Builders etc.
Entry Requirements: Participants must be able to read and communicate in English. It is desirable for you to have a copy of the Building Code of Australia, Housing Provisions, Volume Two. This may be purchased from the Australian Building Codes Board website at

This module covers:
• Define the role of Fair Trading in relation to Home Building Act
• Basic understanding of Home Building Act
• Different documents that make up Building Contracts
• Complete Pro-forma contacts (clauses and conditions)
• Home Warranty Insurance
• Writing up variation orders
• Use and Interpret BCA (Building Code of Australia) in conjunction with plans provided.
