This course is for people working in the automotive industry who want a career as an automotive electrician and have entered into a training agreement. You will learn how to repair automotive electrical components, repair lighting and wiring and diagnose faults in engine management and other electrical/electronic control systems.

Career Opportunities
: Successful completion of this course would enable you to be employed as an automotive electrician in the automotive industry.

Articulation: Successful completion of this course will achieve units of competency from the Automotive Industry Retail, Service and Repair Training Package AUR05. This qualification and the units will be recognised in other Certificate III and Certificate IV courses.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for this course. The learner must be employed as an apprentice and have access to a workplace in the automotive electrical industry to be able to gain sufficient experience to successfully achieve the units of competence requirements.
