BCF30200 Certificate III in Off-Site Construction (Joinery-Timber/Aluminium/Glass)

Qualification: Certificate III (AQF)
Training Package: BCF00 Off-Site Construction
TAFE Course No: 8122

This course is for apprentice joiners. You will learn how to work from plans and specifications to manufacture windows, doors and joinery units, and fabricate and install partitions, using hand and machine tools and equipment.

Career Opportunities: As this course addresses endorsed competency standards it provides a sound background in the Off-Site Construction Stream, which in turn will allow training to continue in other Off-Site and General Construction areas. These skills may lead to specialisation within the Construction sector and may also facilitate mobility for workers between sectors of the industry, as skill demands vary. Learners will be able to pursue a career in building and construction from trade level to managerial level by articulating into post-trade courses, diploma, advanced diploma and university courses.

Articulation: At present there are no qualifications in the Off-Site Construction Training Package beyond the Certificate III. The course, however, does have common units of competence with other Off-Site Construction Training Package qualifications and these would be recognised through the relevant recognition processes.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational entry requirements for this course.
