This course provides knowledge for potential owner-builders an awareness of legislative and statutory requirements in preparing, planning and managing Class 1 and Class 10 residential building projects as defined in the Building Code of Australia.
Career Opportunities: Owner-builders will be introduced to the necessary supervisory and legal knowledge required by the Office of Fair Trading for an Owner-Builders Licence.
Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for this course however you must own or have a prescribed interest in the land concerned, whether or not together with another or other individuals or Council will not accept this certificate.

Applying and Enrolling
This course will be offered commercially on a fee-for-service basis. Course commencement is subject to sufficient demand and usually runs at most locations continuously throughout the year.
