Statement of Attainment in English for Further Study

Qualification: Statement of Attainment (AQF)
TAFE NSW Course No: 4178

This course is for adults from language backgrounds other than English. The course is designed for students with a minimum English language proficiency of International Second Language Proficiency Ratings (ISLPR) 2, or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 4. Before you enrol in this course you need to have an interview. The interview will help to make sure this is the right course for you, in terms of your current English language skills and your future goals. Please contact your campus about this before you enrol.

Career Opportunities: Students who successfully complete this course will have developed the English language skills to help them undertake further vocational study at TAFE NSW and other post-secondary education institutions.

Articulation: When you finish this course you will have the English language skills necessary to apply to do other TAFE Certificate courses requiring NSW School Certificate or equivalent.

Ballina - Part-time, 5 hours per week for 36 weeks, Mondays 9.30am - 3.00pm.

You will also need to attend an interview and assessment before enrolling.

Coffs Harbour - Part-time day, 12 hours per week for 18 weeks, Thursdays and Fridays, 9.00 am to 3.30 pm starting 27 February 2009.

Kingscliff - Full-time or part-time, 4-20 hours per week. Monday & Friday 9.00 am to 2.30 pm, Wednsesday and Thursday 9.00 am to 1.00 pm (DST). You are able to choose which days you attend subject to demand and availability.
You can enrol at any time during the year.
