This course is for Aboriginal people who want to develop skills and strategies to gain employment and/or participate in further study. This is a practical course with emphasis on the development of literacy, numeracy, communication, study skills, technology/computer and workplace knowledge and awareness skills. Completion of this course provides you with the academic requirements for entry to the Police Academy, Department of Corrective Services and other government agencies.

Career Opportunities: A range of employment opportunities and/or further study pathways.

Articulation: When you finish this course you can get credit transfer in: - 91178NSW Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation TAFE NSW Course no 6502 - 91179NSW Certificate III in Preparation for Vocational and Further Study TAFE NSW Course no 6503. The course also provides a pathway into 91048NSW NSW Diploma of Aboriginal Studies TAFE NSW Course no 3037.

Entry Requirements: Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples with Year 10 or equivalent. Prospective students will also be required to participate in an interview.
