This course is for people who have not previously achieved a Year 10 qualification. The course has a flexible attendance pattern and a wide range of units of competency which develop your work-related skills and general education to a level equivalent to Year 10. Completion of the course can improve your chances of entering the workforce or doing further study. You must complete all core units of competency, plus industry specific units of competency, and a range of access and general education elective units of competency. You can study the course part-time or full-time. You should talk to a course coordinator or student counsellor before you enrol in this course.

Career Opportunities: Completion of this course can assist you to gain entry to employment and further education and training.

Articulation: When you finish the course you can consider doing any TAFE NSW course with a Year 10 entry requirement. The units of competency you successfully complete in this course may allow credit transfer into other TAFE NSW courses.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for this course. However, literacy and numeracy skills will be assessed prior to entry to the course.
