This course is for people who want to develop language skills for successful participation in further study.

This is a practical course with an emphasis on identifying and developing skills gained through work and/or life experience.

You will develop independent learning skills and gain the confidence necessary to express your views and contribute to group discussions.

Completion of this course provides you with the academic requirements for entry to the police academy.

Completion of this course including the "Introductory Arithmetic Processes 4930E" will enable exemption from the literacy and numeracy components of the recruitment processes for the Department of Corrective Services.

Career Opportunities: A range of jobs including work in the police force.

Articulation: When you finish this course you can get credit transfer into Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation (91178NSW).

Entry Requirements: Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples with Year 10 or equivalent. Prospective students will also be required to attend an interview.
