This course is for people who wish to access employment, education and training to: - enhance career opportunities and employment pathways - develop communication skills for accessing and maintaining employment - gain skills to retrain or enter the workforce with vocational competencies - prepare for further education and training. You can successfully achieve the course outcomes by participating in education and training through one or more of the following: attending classes, distance or on-line learning, workshops, workplace and community based activities.

Career Opportunities: When you complete this qualification you will have access to enhanced employment opportunities and career choices as well as skills and knowledge to access further education in a range of vocational qualifications.

Articulation: When you complete this course you will have advanced standing in:
* a range of Access and General Education Courses, depending on the electives successfully completed, including: - 91345NSW Certificate II in General and Vocational Education (TAFE NSW Course no 6512) - 91350NSW Certificate III in Employment, Education and Training (TAFE NSW Course no 9073) - 91348NSW Certificate III in Vocational and Study Pathways (TAFE NSW Course no 5000) - 91179NSW Certificate III in Preparation for Vocational and Further Study (TAFE NSW Course no 6503)
* a range of Certificate II and III Training Package qualifications, depending on the electives successfully completed. This course will also provide the underpinning knowledge and skills for entry into qualifications in a range of industry areas, depending on electives selected.

Port Macquarie - Full-time, Monday to Friday. This is a 6 weeks course that must be completed to apply for 91345NSW Certificate II in General and Vocational Education (CGVE). Students must attend the information and enrolment session 28 January 2009 at 10.00 am.
