This course is for people from both non-English speaking and English-speaking backgrounds who have work experience or technical training. You will learn how to develop your basic communication skills to assist you with retraining, entering or advancing in the workplace. You will learn to write simple and routine workplace documents, to interact successfully with customers and other workers, participate in work teams, access the internet and practise basic problem solving.

Articulation: When you finish this course you can apply for advanced standing in Certificate III in Communication Skills (90582NSW), TAFE course no: 9592.

Entry Requirements: Must have completed a Certificate II level course in vocational/technical/general vocational training or equivalent or have work experience that includes specific job training. Must be able to read, comprehend and discuss printed familiar information in English and write simple statements in English.
