This course is for team managers and managers working in a broad range of industry areas and cultural backgrounds who want to enhance their written, oral and interpersonal skills in their management practices in their current employment, extend their understanding and capacity to lead in a modern technological and multicultural environment, and enhance their opportunities for advancement or articulation to related university studies.
The course includes electives in professional streams such as media, information technology, education and business, which can assist teachers/trainers gain qualifications to teach communication modules.
You must complete 164 hours of Core modules and a minimum of 116 Elective hours, selected from the following elective groups and subgroups:
* Communication
* Writing Skills
* Media
* Education
* Management
* Workplace Assessment
* Communication Technology
Towards the end of the course, you will be required to do an independent project in which you will examine communication management in your workplace or in a nominated organisation.
Articulation: When you finish this course you may apply for entry into other relevant tertiary level programs in universities.
Entry Requirements: Degree or Advanced Diploma or equivalent. In some circumstances relevant management experience can be recognised particularly if relevant professional practice has been undertaken.
