This course provides basic skills in the administration and maintenance of a computer local area network. You will acquire skills in the basic use of a range of technologies and with these competencies could provide basic diagnostic support to people using computers in an organisation. This stream provides a natural progression into the ICA40405 Certificate IV in Information Technology (Networking).

Articulation: This course provides a pathway to achievement of competencies required to receive the ICA30105 Certificate III in Information Technology - Network Administration Stream as defined in the nationally endorsed Information and Communications Technology Training Package ICA05. There are several vendor courses that may be integrated into this qualification. When you finish this course, you may be eligible for advanced standing in several Information Technology Certificate III, IV and Diploma level courses including courses in the areas of Networking or Websites. This course is a natural feed into the ICA40405 Certificate IV in Information Technology (Networking).

Entry Requirements: NSW School Certificate (or equivalent).
