This course provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in the management and maintenance of systems as it includes high end development and integrative competencies and delivers the competence to effectively manage and maintain complex ICT systems.

Articulation: When you finish this course you may be eligible to do a related university course.
Entry Requirements: NSW Higher School Certificate (or equivalent) or a Certificate IV in Information Technology in a relevant discipline. To complete this course it is recommended that you have basic computing and internet skills, be able to send and receive email, be able to organise yourself and manage your time. Keyboarding skills are desirable.
To work through this course online, you will also need:
- Pentium IV 2GHz or faster
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or above
- Windows 2000 or above or MAC OS 8.0 or above
Course Support: This course is fully online - there is access to a team of teachers, 5 days per week. Workshops are available on request. Full telephone and email support, chat sessions, instant messaging and discussion forums support student learning.
The prerequisite units cover the knowledge and skills required to complete the System Administration core units. These units also meet the full elective requirements of the qualification and therefore no elective group is included in this qualification.

Duration: The course requires approximately 1105 hours of study. Studying online you will need to spend a minimum of 40 hours per week to complete the course successfully in one year or 20 hours per week over two years.
