Statement of Attainment in Welding to AS1796 Certification 1 - 9
Qualification: Statement of Attainment (AQF)
Training Package: MEM05 Metal and Engineering Industry
TAFE Course No: 17431
Nominal Hours: 90
This course is for people who want to learn to apply the appropriate techniques to weld pressure vessels and high quality structures, with the intention of sitting for the relevant Welder's Assessment (AS1796) test.
Career Opportunities: Welding specialising in pressure equipment and high quality structures which use low carbon and low alloy steels.
Articulation: When you have completed this course you will be eligible to sit for the relevant Welder's Assessment (AS 1796) test by enrolling in the appropriate exam course (see below).
Entry Requirements: You must have met the pre-requisites as prescribed in Australian Standard AS1796 Certification of Welders and Welding Supervisors, for a relevant Welding Certificate, which may include a relevant engineering trade certificate plus additional training and experience. Refer to AS1796 for further details.
