This Statement of Attainment is specifically designed for people who are employed or who are seeking employment in the Metal Fabrication or allied engineering industry.

The program will enable you to develop the knowledge and skills required by industry to competently apply the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) process to a broad range of industrial applications. The units in this program of study are composed of a specialised cluster of competency units from the Metal and Engineering (MEM05) Training Package that will enable you to complete a program of study without having to complete a full qualification.

Career Opportunities: After completing the units of competency in this Statement of Attainment you will be able to apply your newly acquired skills to a broad range of engineering industries.

The minimum requirement to be eligible to receive this Statement of Attainment in Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMAW) is completion of all specialisation units of competency listed below.

There are no formal educational requirements for entry into this Statement of Attainment.
