This course is for people who have a trade qualification in the electrotechnology industry and who want to gain expertise in industrial electronics. You can specialise in a range of areas including control programming, power control, sensors and control, microprocessor systems, SCADA systems and analogue electronics. You will learn how to fault-find industrial electronics equipment.
Career Opportunities: Maintenance supervisor, control installation technician, industrial controls technician.
Articulation: Successful completion of certain module(s) in this course will allow you to claim credit(s) in higher level courses containing those modules. You must first meet the entry requirements for any of these courses before any credit(s) can be claimed.
Entry Requirements: Certificate III or equivalent from the Electrotechnology area.
