This course is for people who want to learn how to set up and use a CAD system. Elective modules include 2D graphic work and 3D wireframe and modelling and add-on packages.
This course does not teach drafting skills; it teaches you how to use a CAD system. Students wishing to learn drafting should enrol in either 90889NSW Certificate II in Detail Drafting Concepts, TAFE course no:
9976 or 91084NSW Certificate III in Drafting Trades, TAFE course no:
3442.

Articulation: When you finish this course you can apply for advanced standing in other courses which contain the same modules including the 91084NSW Certificate III in Drafting Trades, TAFE course no: 3442.
Entry Requirements: To enrol in this course students should have completed one of the pre-requisite modules for CAD A - Tools, these being Engineering Drawing Interpretation 1 or Drafting - Orthogonal Concepts or equivalent. Alternatively, students may enrol in this course and complete one of the above pre-requisite modules concurrently with CAD A - Tools.
