This course is for people who need the competencies to work at the intermediate production operator level in manufacturing, engineering and related industry areas. You will acquire skills and knowledge in workplace communication, occupational health and safety, quality procedures systems and planning, engineering measurement plus some industry-specific skills in a production or process area relevant to your current or intended employment. The course duration will vary depending on the training pathway agreed to between you, your employer and the TAFE college.
Career Opportunities: Operator-production worker or operator-process worker at level C11 under the Metal, Engineering and Associated Industries Award.
Articulation: When you finish this course you may be eligible to enrol in other courses in the MEM05 Metal and Engineering Training Package.
