This course is for trainees in manufacturing, engineering and related industry areas. You will gain the competencies required by an operator working in these areas.
You will also acquire skills and knowledge in workplace communication, occupational health and safety and quality procedures and planning, plus specific industry skills in a production or process area.
The course duration will vary depending on the training pathway agreed to between you, your employer and the campus.
Career Opportunities: Operator-production worker or operator-process worker at level C12 under the Metal, Engineering and Associated Industries Award.
Articulation: When you finish this course you will be able to enrol in other engineering courses.
Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for this course.
