This course is for people who want to become electrotechnology or telecommunications trades workers. You will acquire the necessary competencies to undertake independent work and support activities in the electrotechnology industry. These include the demonstrated ability to collect/receive and store stock at work sites; set up and store equipment and tools; and assist in installation, fault finding, maintenance and repair activities.

Articulation: When you finish this course you can apply for advanced standing in: - UEE30806 Certificate III in Electrotechnolgy - Electrician - UEE30906 Certificate III in Electronics and Communications.
Entry Requirements: Learners must either be in relevant employment or have access to appropriate workplace environments to achieve the completion requirements of this course. There are no formal educational requirements for entry to this course, however the Electrotechnology Training Package states that a prospective learner's general education and competency level should be equivalent to the outcome of four to five years of secondary school.
