This course is designed for people who want to enter the electrotechnology industry. The course covers competencies for work entry program providing grounding in safety and basic skills and knowledge for work in many electrotechnology disciplines.
Career Opportunities: Electrotechnology traineeships, electrotechnology apprenticeships.
Articulation: When you finish this course you can apply for advanced standing in Electrotechnology Certificate II and Certificate III courses.
Entry Requirements: Learners must either be in relevant employment or have access to appropriate workplace environments to achieve the completion requirements of this course. There are no formal educational requirements for entry to this course, however the Electrotechnology Training Package states that a prospective learner's general education and competency level should be equivalent to the outcome of four to five years of secondary school.
