UEE30606 Certificate III in Electrical Machine Repair

This course is for people who want to become an electrical fitter. The course provides national competencies to enable you to overhaul and repair motor, transformer and control gear including rewinding. This qualification meets the NSW Office of Fair Trading licensing requirements for issuing a Restricted Electrical Licence. This permits the holder to carry out the disconnection/reconnection of fixed low voltage electrical equipment on a "like for like" basis.

Career Opportunities: Electrical tradesperson (fitter).

Articulation: When you finish this course you can apply for advanced standing in UEE40606 Certificate IV in Electrotechnolgy System Electrician.

Entry Requirements: Learners must either be in relevant employment or have access to appropriate workplace environments to achieve the completion requirements of this course. There are no formal educational requirements for entry to this course, however the Electrotechnology Training Package states that a prospective learner's general education and competency level should be equivalent to the outcome of four to five years of secondary school.
