This course provides pre-employment education and training for people seeking an apprenticeship or traineeship in the electrical industry.

You will improve your chances of gaining employment by learning the basic skills required to work in the electrical industry. This includes skills relating to occupational health and safety, electrical principles, workshop practices and an introduction to electrical wiring.

Career Opportunities: Electrical trainee/apprentice.

Articulation: When you finish this course you will be eligible for exemptions in various Electrotechnology Certificate II and III level courses.

Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational entry requirements for this course. However, completion of NSW School Certificate (or equivalent, from another educational authority) with passes in Mathematics, Science and English is recommended.
