This course provides pre-employment education and training for people seeking an apprenticeship or traineeship in the refrigeration, air conditioning and appliance servicing industry.
You will improve your chances of gaining employment by learning the basic skills required to work in the refrigeration, air conditioning and appliance servicing industry.
This includes skills relating to occupational health and safety, refrigeration and electrical principles, workshop practices and refrigerant piping.
Career Opportunities: Refrigeration, air conditioning, appliance servicing trainee/apprentice.
Articulation: When you finish this course you will be eligible for exemptions in various Electrotechnology Certificate II and III level courses.
Entry Requirements: There are no formal educational entry requirements for this course. However, completion of NSW School Certificate (or equivalent, from another educational authority) with passes in Mathematics, Science and English is recommended.
