This course provides you with the the skills and knowledge needed to work as a supervisor in the horticulture industry. You complete a range of general horticulture modules and may choose electives from a range of industry specific modules.
Career Opportunities: Supervisor in the parks and gardens, landscape, turf, nursery, arboriculture and floriculture industries, depending on modules completed.
Articulation: Successful completion of this course will enhance a student's ability to enrol in and complete a higher level qualification. This course articulates directly to RTF50103 Diploma of Horticulture, TAFE course no: 5865 (to be replaced with a new qualification from the Horticulture Training Package (RTF03).
Entry Requirements: NSW School Certificate (or equivalent from another educational authority), and relevant experience, or RTF30103 Certificate III in Horticulture or any of the Certificate III in Horticulture specialisations or relevant industry experience. People who do not satisfy the above criteria but who can provide evidence that they are capable of achieving the outcomes of this course at AQF Certificate IV level may also be considered. It is strongly recommended that applicants complete a RTF30103 Certificate III in Horticulture before undertaking this course, or have relevant industry experience.

Part-time, one afternoon and evening per week for 1 year, Tuesdays, 3.30 pm - 9.00 pm.
Students will need to indicate their preference for Nursery or Landscape/Parks stream of study.
