Statement of Attainment in Chainsaw Operations Level 2
Qualification: Statement of Attainment (NRT)
TAFE NSW Course No: 17231
In this course you will undertake Level 2 training in Chainsaw Operations for the forestry industry. These skills can be used in a range of industries where chainsaws are used, including rural production, conservation and land management, horticulture, public services and utilities. Once you have successfully completed the course you can seek work in a Forests NSW area as a Level 2 Chainsaw Operator.
Career Opportunities: Timber harvester.
Entry Requirements: There are no formal entry requirements for this course. The completion of a First Aid Certificate that complies with the requirements of Forests NSW and WorkCover is recommended given the extremely dangerous nature of chainsaw operations. Participants must have a high level of physical fitness and manual dexterity.

Applying and Enrolling:
This course will be offered commercially on a fee-for-service basis. Course commencement is subject to sufficient demand and usually runs at most locations continuously throughout the year.
